Al Ahli have agreed a deal worth £30m for the signing of Manchester City forward Riyad Mahrez.

Mahrez has been granted permission to skip Manchester City's preseason trips to South Korea and Japan in order to complete the transfer. In preparation for signing a three-year contract, the 32-year-old Algerian international is scheduled to have a physical this week.

Mahrez has won four Premier League championships, two FA Cups, three Carabao Cups, and the Champions League since moving from Leicester to City in 2018. Mahrez joined the Etihad in the summer of 2018 for a then-club record £60 million after helping Leicester win the Premier League during the 2015–16 season.

Ilkay Gundogan already left the triple champions this summer for Barcelona, while Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva have also been mentioned as possible departures.
