According to reports, Fabrizio Romano was the one who originally announced that Lazio was in advanced talks with the England international. On Sunday morning, the dependable Italian journalist stated that Sarri's team was "progressing well" in negotiations with Chelsea over a deal for Hudson-Odoi.

The winger, who Thomas Tuchel originally referred to as a "outstanding" footballer, has since had more information added by Gazzetta dello Sport. According to the Italian news source, Hudson-Odoi will initially join Lazio on loan, but Chelsea and the Serie A club are required to make the arrangement permanent for about €15 million (£13 million) in the summer. Interestingly, the 22-year-old's contract at Stamford Bridge only has 12 months left, meaning he may go for free in the summer of 2023.

In essence, it appears that Lazio and Chelsea have reached an agreement for Hudson-Odoi to join them for about £13 million, but Chelsea is merely permitting the Italian powerhouses to pay the money in 2023.

Hudson-Odoi may yet face Chelsea next season due to Lazio's competition. While Hudson-Odoi is reportedly close to joining Lazio, another party is reportedly circling.

An undisclosed Premier League team are also very interested, according to Romano, who provided an update on the position of the Londoner.

It might be Fulham, who reportedly had a proposal rejected by Chelsea, according to the newznow. According to Ed Aarons of the Guardian, Hudson-Odoi was the subject of a recent inquiry from Crystal Palace.

Both of those teams are located in London, so it should go without saying that they give an opportunity for the Chelsea academy graduate to remain local. Observe this situation carefully because anything could happen.
